AFCA VD 1

Together with Pol Rowe I built my own camera. The camera is a wooden, light tight box. It functions as a tool for capturing images but also as a darkroom. The images are developed inside the camera. When photographing with the AFCA VD 1, I try to bring the slow analog process to the people. What happens if we slow down the (fast) process that we know within photography today? When the making of an image does not happen in a split second, but becomes a conscious, slow action, what does this do to the experience of the person portrayed?
I want people to reflect on the uniqueness of an image and make them more conscious about making and preserving images.
